Moving the camera is exciting. But imagine what you could do by using motion control to move the objects on set as well—Rolling roads, moving lights, spinning props. The possibilities are endless, all tailored to the needs of your story.

Dragonframe Powered DFMoco Controller
Moco Toolbox DFMoco controller is a powered controller based on Dragonframe Arduino sketch. It can drive up to 4 stepper motors silently with high precision. It’s easy-to-use design lets you setup and configure motorized rigs easily on your stop motion set.
USE IT
THE WAY
YOU WANT.
It’s like you’ve built it yourself. So buy any stepper motors you need for a particular project. Set the current easily. Experiment. If one of the drivers burnt out, replace it easily. This is YOUR device.

Easy access to drivers
With the magnetic window on the top, you can easily access all the four drivers to adjust the current for custom-use stepper motors or replace a driver if needed.

Easy connectors for DIYers
For any DIY motion control setup, just buy the extra stepper motors you need and connect the default 4-pin connector to any of the four powered channels.

Reliable for long shoot sessions
Custom designed PCB to prevent messy wirings, using high quality components and a built-in fan, all for a reliable powered controller that can run for hours on your stop motion set.

Straight forward setup
DFMoco box connects to the computer via a USB port. Other connections are a 12v power supply jack and stepper motor cables using RJ45 or simple 4-pin default connectors.

XY motorized winder rig
with additional motor & animation arm
Use it in vertical or horizontal mode, you can move an object up/down, left/right or on any trajectory on the surface.
The motorized winder rig is a one of a kind rig that can move an object in two linear directions (Up/down – Left/right) and one rotational direction (spinning) according to the movement you program in Dragonframe. It moves so smoothly while the structure let’s you setup the rig in various positions.

15 inches of movement in two directions
It functions like a regular winder rig, but instead of manually turning a knob to move it up, down, left, or right, two motors control the movement based on your programmed movement. This allows for perfect arc or complicated trajectories while animating an object attached to one end.

Add a third motor. Use vertically or horizontally.
You can mount the rig in any direction, either on the surface or overhead. This allows you to move objects in various ways—such as a car moving away from the camera on the surface, or a ball traveling along a curved path vertically. The third motor adds an additional axis of movement, enabling the object to spin around itself.

Can hold up to one pound. Running super smooth
Combined with the Dragonframe controller, the rig moves smoothly. The long arms, paired with powerful load handling, provide a wide range of possibilities. The standard 2020 aluminum base makes it easy to attach various objects or expansions to the rig.

Add Live Action to Your MoCo Capabilities
Set the start and end point of each 3 motors attached to the controller. Set the speed and run the move. All the motors will go from point A to point B synced together giving you a smooth linear move. As simple as that!
Control the the motorized winder rig manually with 6 tangible buttons like a gamepad.
